EICS to supply Marine Growth Prevention System for BW Offshore

EICS has won an order to deliver Electrochlorination based marine growth prevention system (MGPS) for a FPSO for Australia for BW Offshore.

The system will be installed to prevent bio-fouling and corrosion in seawater pipework on the FPSO that is under retrofit work with delivery scheduled for Q4 2023

Using the latest advancement in marine research and technology, the Electrochlorination System was designed to prevent the marine growth from built up internal seawater system by injecting the chlorine to suction point. Using electrolysis, this intelligent, self-sufficient system is able to produce chlorine by breaking up the water molecule present in seawater itself, keeping the seawater pipeline system in peak condition always.
